Wayne Thomas Stokes, 64, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 4, 2016.
He was born on March 24, 1952 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Robert and Doris (Ward) Stokes both of whom precede him in death. On June 12, 1974 he married Patricia Stow, Patricia and Wayne lived in Momence, Illinois for 25 years until they moved to the Indianapolis area.
Wayne was an artist, published poet and a minister for 15 years; Wayne had a ministry for the home bound over the internet.
Wayne is survived by his wife: Patricia, his two daughters, Kristen Ann & Matthew Grills of Greenwood, Shannon Rose Stokes of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Simon Peter, Jonah Matthew, Susannah Michele; sibling: Robert Stokes of California; several nieces, nephews and friends.
