Indianapolis – Wanda Jean (Hicks) Turner, 67, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on November 23, 1956 to the late Johnnie and Mable (Dunn) Hicks of Indianapolis.
She attended and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1975. She married Richard Lee Turner on November 1, that same year at the Church of God. After graduating Wanda accepted a position with Full Beauty Brands, she enjoyed her work family and retired after 34 years of service. She was also an avid supporter of Holy Name Catholic School where her grandkids attended.
You could count on finding Wanda in the pool, hanging out with friends or at the family farm, often times with a good ol’ Margarita in hand (or chocolate). Family and friends were everything to Wanda. She was loyal, trustworthy dedicated, loving and we mustn’t forget, stubborn. She was an irreplaceable best friend with the kindest heart, and she had the most beautiful soul. Wanda will be missed beyond measure by many.
Wanda is survived by her loving husband: Richard Turner; children, Jennifer (Joe) Gallagher, Rebecca Turner, Jenny (Lynn) Norman, Tiffany (Mike) Mathis; siblings, Steve and James Hicks; grandchildren, Jacob (Maddison Meyer) Gallagher, Jaxon (Anna Maddox) Gallagher, Victoria and Vanessa Reynolds, Valerie Turner, Willington Randall, Zavier Mathis, Elizabeth McCall, Andrew, Max and Nate Gallagher.
