Indianapolis – Wanda Mea Owens Ross, 72, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at her residence. She was born February 8, 1950 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late George and Erie Williams Owens. Wanda served her family as a homemaker. She was fortunate to look after the family home and raise her children. She enjoyed shopping, watching old movies and caring for her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and being a caregiver for her brother, George, Sr.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her sister, Juanita McLoud. She is survived by her loving husband, Hubert Ross; daughters: Debra Brinker, Lisa Spears, her husband Jack and son Lee Graves; siblings: Bernice Baker, Charlie Owens, George Owens, Jr., Damon Owens, Darrell Owens, Peggy Wilkinson, Clarence Owens and Larry Owens; and grandchildren: Andrew Bennett, Jeffrey White, Jessica Akers and Tara Philpot.

Wanda's family will receive friends Friday, February 18, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.
