Vera Arlina Eaton (Ackermann), 1925-2023
Our precious mother went to sleep in Jehovah's arms on July 5, 2023, joining her husband Francis "Mel" Eaton in Everlasting Life. Left to mourn are her children: daughter, Debra (Rod Hynes), son John (Twyla), son Robin (Maggie), daughter-in-law Rickee; her grandchildren Brad, Chisholm, Amanda, Eli, Savannah, Derek, Luke, and Sage; and her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Kevin, her grandson Brandon, her brother Harvey, and her sister Bernice.
Vera retired from her career with the Bureau of Land Management in 1981. She excelled at gardening and oil painting, gifting most of her paintings to her family. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Arvada, Colorado. She left her family with the knowledge of what sacrifice meant, passed on her values of God, family, and love to her children and grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held on August 18th in Arvada, CO. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Vera's name to Peace Lutheran Church, Arvada, CO.
