INDIANAPOLIS – Tyler Austin Lee Parrish was born on August 3, 1995 to Jeffrey A. Parrish and Amanda (Muse) Sloan in Indianapolis, IN. As a child, Tyler was extremely intelligent and gifted. He took advanced classes and during middle school he won a district wide essay contest. Tyler attended Southport High School. He received his AWS MIG Certification from the American Welding Society. Tyler worked as a general contractor for most of his adult life.
His hobbies were tattooing, wood working, welding, drawing and building RC models. In Tyler’s free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling to the ocean. He was passionate about music of all genres; Tyler had that in common with his mom. Tyler loved designing artwork that would later be tattooed. He also loved working on new building projects and working with his hands. Tyler’s favorite thing to do was spend time with his son, Roman. Nothing gave him more joy than being a father to Roman.
Tyler was ambitious, hardworking, artistic, creative and smart. He passed away at age 28 on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Indianapolis, IN. Tyler will be remembered as a loving dad, son, grandson, brother and friend. He will be missed deeply by everyone who knew him.
Tyler is survived by his loving son, Roman Parrish; brother, Jaxson Morgan; sister, Emiliana Parrish; mother, Amanda Sloan & her husband Sterling; grandfather’s, David Muse and Michael Carson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Denise Carson and dad, Michael Sloan.

Tyler’s friends and family may visit from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. Visitation will also be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the funeral home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Inurnment will take place at a future date and time at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143.
