Indianapolis - Thomas A. Lechner, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016.
Mr. Lechner was born November 22, 1929 in Loogootee, IN to the late Otto and Alma Schitter Lechner. He was a graduate of Montgomery High School and an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy. He was employed by an addressograph company and owned and operated his own ditch digging business.
Mr. Lechner was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Mullin Lechner. He is survived by his sister, Betty Lechner Murphy and her husband, Leo; nephew, John Springer and his wife, Bonnie; and many other loving family members and devoted friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 10 am at St. Jude Catholic Church, 5353 MacFarland Road, Indianapolis, IN 46227 with Father Steve Banet officiating. A committal service will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Catholic Church in Mr. Lechner's honor.
