Indianapolis – Thomas Lee Lamar, age 74, passed away at 2:14 AM on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born to the late Shirley "Shorter" and Mary Louise (Shanks) Lamar on July 8, 1946 in Warren, Kentucky.
Professionally, Thomas was a Janitorial and Maintenance Technician at the Flanner House Elementary School where he retired. Formerly employed with the Indianapolis Drum Company. Thomas believed and practiced Islamic beliefs. He was an avid boxing fan and his favorite athlete was Muhamad Ali. Thomas enjoyed spending time with his children and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shorter Lamar and Mary Louise Lamar. Thomas is survived by his beloved children, Brandi Lamar and Chrishon Lamar; his grandson, Breez O'Neal; and many other loving family members and friends.
