Indianapolis - Thomas Jay Hermsdorfer, 71, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022. He was born June 10, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Donald and Mary Alice Kaiser Hermsdorfer. He was employed by the Indianapolis Fire Department where he served as a firefighter.
After his retirement, Thomas enjoyed working on cars and in machine shops. On beautiful days, he loved taking long rides on his Harley Davidson. He was a loving and caring husband, father and papaw. His family always came first.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Alice Kaiser Hermsdorfer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Hermsdorfer; daughter, Rene Dominy and her husband, Brian; sisters, Julie Crifasi and Kathy Royce; brother, Bruce Hermsdorfer; granddaughter, Baylee Dominy; two step-grandchildren, Logan and Arianna Williams.
He was greatly loved and will be missed by many.
