Thomas Bauer

Thomas Walter Bauer, 77, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on December 26, 2021, at Franciscan St. Francis Health.
Tom was born on June 17, 1944, in Brazil, IN, he was the son of the late Walter and Rozella (Davis) Bauer.

Tom graduated from Warren Central High School in the class of 1962. In 1965, Tom proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. After his term in the Air Force, Tom went to work for the Aetna Plywood Co. where he retired after 20 years of service. He then founded and managed his own business, Hardwood Products, Inc.. Tom was a member of the Southport Baptist Church, a Mason of the Prospect Lodge, member of the Southport Shrine and a member of the V.F.W.

Thomas is survived by his loving daughter, Melissa (Doug Davis) Peterson of Indianapolis; grandsons, Trevor Peterson of Greenwood and Zachary Peterson of Indianapolis and Gabriel Newman of Columbus, IN; sister, Karen Jones of Knightsville, IN; brother, William "Bill" (Theresa) Bauer of Largo, FL; and friend, Angela Torrenga of Indianapolis.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Ave., Indianapolis. Funeral services will immediately follow Tom's visitation at 7:00 pm at Newcomers. Private family burial will be conducted later.

In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting that memorial contributions may be made in Tom's name to the Wounded Warrior Project and K9's For Warriors.
