Theresa Lynn Crabtree

INDIANAPOLIS – Theresa Lynn (Mabbitt) Crabtree, 60, passed away at 3:11 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on July 30, 1963 to Lewis T. and Pamela Louise (Clements) Mabbitt.

Theresa graduated from Emmerich Manual High School, class of 1981. Then attended Indiana State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Professionally, Theresa worked as a Social Worker for the state of Indiana for many years. She was a part of the organizations, Premier Jewelery and Scouts.

Theresa was loving and honest. Her hobbies included bowling, scrapbooking and cross stitching. Theresa enjoyed traveling, eating seafood and watching her children play sports. Her absolute favorite things to do were playing cards and going to the movie theater. Theresa loved her family very much, especially her children and grandchildren.

Theresa is survived by her daughter, Victoria Nicole Crabtree; son, Cameron Michael Crabtree & his wife Kathryn; mother, Pamela Louise Mabbitt-Rosier; stepmother, Nancy Logsdon; sister, Kimberly Jo Stamper; step-sister, Connie Hawk & her husband Ronnie; uncle, Tom Banta & his wife Kim; aunts: Janice Woods, Teri Furr & her husband Earl, Darlene Abplanalp & her husband Jeff, and Norma Lucas; and granddaughter, Zayla Marie-Smith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis T. Mabbitt; stepfather, William Eugene Rosier; and brother, Tom Mabbit.

A celebration of Theresa’s life will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.
