Indianapolis – Teryl Len Pittman, 57, passed away at 1:40 am on Monday, December 14, 2020 at his residence with his loving wife by his side. He was born on January 2, 1963 to Deryl William and Sandra Kay (Carnahan) Pittman in Indianapolis, Indiana. He married Jill Woodmansee on May 21, 1988 in Converse, Indiana.
Teryl enjoyed wood working, gardening, hiking in state parks, jazz music, reading, model railroading, grilling and smoking meat. He loved Chinese food, pizza and talking politics. He was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School, class of 1981. He attended ITT Technical Institute with certifications in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and Electronics Technology. Teryl worked as an HVAC Installer and Service Technician, Home Inspector and Merchandiser. He was the most kind and thoughtful person. Teryl was very courteous and a true gentleman. He was always a caring, loving, and devoted husband. Teryl adored his nieces and nephew, Lisa, Sharaya and Joel.
He was preceded in death by his father, Deryl William Pittman. Teryl is survived by his loving wife, Jill (Woodmansee) Pittman; his mother, Sandra Kay (Carnahan) Pittman; his nieces, Lisa (Crist) Routh and Sharaya (Woodmansee) Sommers; and his nephew, Joel Woodmansee.
A Memorial Service will be held with immediate family members at a future date yet to be determined.
