Terry A. Woods

Terry Allyn Woods, age 64 of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness. He was born May 24, 1958 in Fortville, Indiana the son of Danny and Delores (Fippin) Woods. Terry attended Mount Vernon schools. He married Donnetta Hazelip on March 26, 1977 in Fortville. Terry enjoyed being outdoors fishing and camping. He liked to collect coins, knives and zippo lighters. Terry loved to play cards and pool with his friends. He found watching movies an enjoyable way of relaxing. More than anything, Terry was a man who enjoyed life and loved his family.

Terry is survived by his wife, Donnetta Woods; 3 children, Terra Woods, Tania Loyd and Dama Woods; 3 siblings, Debra Allgood, Angela Terry and Kevin Woods; 9 grandchildren, Tony Wilson, Matthew Wilson, James Loyd, Tiffany Loyd, Katelyn Turner, Dilan Fredrick, Haylee Fredrick, Eliana Woods and Chelsey Temple; 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents; 2 granddaughters, Kelsey Wilson and Ariana Woods; best friend, Jeff Spears; his great-grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.

A funeral service celebrating life Terry's life will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227 with Pastor Mickey Roy of Mt. Pleasant Fellowship Church. A visitation for family and friends will be held 3:00 to 5:00 pm prior to the service on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at the funeral home.
