Teresa Mae Montogmery

Teresa Mae Montgomery, affectionately known as "TT," was born on November 24, 1966, in Ackron, Ohio. She passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

A free spirit, Teresa was characterized by her compassion, fun-loving nature, and a stubborn streak that endeared her to those who knew her. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, finding joy in every moment spent with her daughters, Sara Mae Montgomery and Shelby Montgomery, and her beloved grandchildren, Jason Blackburn, Jakob Reeves, Gregory Steward, and Malcolm Toothman. Teresa's heart was equally full for her dogs, Anna and Little Bit, who brought her immense happiness.

Throughout her life, Teresa enjoyed various hobbies and interests, including crafting and helping others. Her ability to connect with people meant she never met a stranger, making friendships wherever she went. She embodied kindness, often lending a hand to anyone in need, and her legacy of compassion will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Teresa is also survived by her siblings: Steven Randolph, Tina Schaeffee, Ernest Bishop, Timothy Bishop, and Kimberly Bishop. Her relationships with these family members were crucial to her life and brought her great support and happiness.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristy Montgomery, and her parents, Ernest Bishop and Lillian Butterworth. Their memory remains a part of Teresa's enduring spirit.

Visitation for Teresa Mae Montgomery will be held on January 31, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 925 E Hanna Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227. The funeral service will commence at 1:00 PM and continue until 2:00 PM on the same day.

Teresa leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends, and her spirited personality will be treasured by all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
