Indianapolis - Talmage Woodrow Hawkins, 76, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 8, 2017.
Mr. Hawkins was born June 6, 1941 in Bethpage, TN to the late Edward Hawkins and Mayzelle Reed. He was employed by Indianapolis Power and Light where he served initially as a lineman and retired as a dispatcher. He was a member of Crosswalk Community Church of God.
Mr. Hawkins is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Darlena Hawkins; daughters Angela Adams and her husband, Mark and Shelly Bradley and her companion, Randy Whitis; granddaughters, Hannah and Rachel; grandsons, Benjamin and Elijah; great granddaughter, Annabelle; and great grandson, Leo.
Mr. Hawkins family will receive friends Wednesday, December 13, 2017, from 4 – 8 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will follow Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 11 am at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
