Suzanne Elaine Stone

Suzanne Elaine (Cook) Stone, 81, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on January 25, 2025.

Born on January 14, 1944, she was a lifelong resident of the Indianapolis area and a beacon of kindness and strength to all who knew her.

Suzie's passing marks a heartfelt reunion with her eldest son, Jeffrey Scott Stone, as well as her parents, Billy and Velma Jones Cook, brothers Kelly and Marty Cook, and sister Linda Cook Napier.

She is survived by her son, Michael Stone; daughter-in-law, Libby Stone; grandchildren, Jennifer, Brandy (Anthony), and Jeffrey Stone; her cherished great-granddaughter, Liberty Elaine Scott "Scotty" Stone; brother, Kenny (Nancy) Cook; sister-in-law, Debbie Cook; and her beloved companion, Pebbles, her dog.

In celebration of Suzie's life, a memorial service will be held at a later date. 

In her younger years, Suzie found joy traveling the world and cherished the camaraderie she shared with her friends in the Marion County Sherriff's Department.

She raised two sons on her own while working as a dedicated clerk at Chicago Title Insurance Company for 37 years. During retirement, she embraced her role as a full-time grandmother and great-grandmother, devoting her days to her family and anyone in need. Known for her generosity, Suzie wasn't happy unless she was helping others.

Suzie's life was a testament to kindness and selflessness. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and treasured memories. She will be deeply missed and remembered always.
