Susan K. Bundren, born on December 28th, 1958, unexpectedly left this world on January 23, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Susie dedicated her entire working career to Service Pipe and Supply Company, a family-run business where she worked alongside her siblings. In 2020, she retired, marking the end of an era but the beginning of a new chapter in her life.
Following her retirement, Susie made a move to Florida, where she found joy in being near her grandchildren. Family was the cornerstone of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with her daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Evan Fischer, as well as her step-daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Christopher Owensby.
Susie’s love extended to her grandchildren, Taryn and his fiancé Julia, Wesley, Callie, and Carlos Owensby. She leaves behind a lasting imprint on their lives.
Susie was preceded in death by the love of her life, Michael Donnar. Although she faced the loss with strength, the impact of their love continued to resonate throughout her life.
Born to Irvin and Mary Peters, Susie is survived by her siblings: sister and brother-in-law Connie & Jim Myers, brother and sister-in-law Tom & Kim Peters, and brother and sister-in-law Jerry & Sherry Peters. Together, they shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and support.
Susie was the life of the party and would tell you like it is. She found joy in playing bingo, testing her luck at casinos, engaging in intense competitive games with her family, fishing and enjoyed a good book at the beach. Her sentimental side was evident in her love for Hallmark movies, often shedding tears over movies that all had the same ending.
Susie’s friends and family may visit from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 925 East Hannah Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
In this time of grief, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Susie and the love that will forever remain in our hearts. Susie loved her dogs and grandogs; so in lieu of flowers you can make donations to the Southside Animal Shelter here: https://ssasi.org
