Steven Dell Sprague, a beloved figure in the Indianapolis community, passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on June 1, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Steven’s journey through life was marked by his unwavering kindness and generous spirit.

A proud honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force, Steven demonstrated a deep sense of duty and service that carried through to his civilian life. After his military service, he devoted part of his career to working for a printer and later found fulfillment at a veneer mill. Through these experiences, he cultivated a strong work ethic that earned him the respect of his colleagues.

A long-time member of the Tabernacle of Faith, Steven's faith was an integral part of his life, supporting him and guiding his actions. This foundation allowed him to grow into the kind, fun-loving individual that so many cherished.

Steven had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards and board games, and taking long walks. His time at Hellenic Senior Living of Indianapolis revealed another layer of his character, as he took pleasure in greeting other residents, spreading cheer through simple acts of friendliness.

He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Melton and Vicky Logan, his mother, Dorothy Sprague, and his siblings, Jim Sprague, Cathy Perry, and Shirley McCormick. Their memories of Steven will forever be cherished, as he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity.
