Stephen C. Wright

Stephen Clair Wright, Sr., 75, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024. He was born February 20, 1949, in Beech Grove, IN to Clair E Wright and Julia M Wright. He was skilled at many things including billiards, hunting, fishing and working on automobiles to name a few. He was a master carpenter by trade.

Steve was known for his generous heart and dry sense of humor. He would help anyone in need including giving the shirt off his back.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Clair E Wright, mother Julia M Wright (Mattox) sister Teresa A Smith, and son Stephen C Wright Jr. 

He is survived by his son Scott E (Kimberly) Wright, daughter Renee R (Steve) Powell, brothers Gregory, Kenneth and Kevin Wright, grandsons Matthew, Kaleb and Gabriel, granddaughters Courtney, Mollie, Schuyler, Madelyn and 11 great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service for Stephen will be held on January 7, 2025 at 6 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 925 East Hanna Avenue Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.  Friends may gather for visitation from 4 pm until the time of the service.
