Solva E. Page

Solva E. Page, age 102 of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at University Heights Health and Living in Indianapolis. She was born August 19, 1920 in Paintsville, Kentucky the daughter of Albert and Sarah Jane (Pack) Mollett. She attended White House High School in Inez, Kentucky. Solva married Carl Smith in 1942 and they raised 5 beautiful children together until his passing in 1994. She retired from RCA where she worked as a quality inspector for over 30 years. She enjoyed quilting and making wreaths and putting together flower arrangements for her friends and family. At 80, she married her second husband, Lester Page in 2000 until his passing in 2010. More than anything, Solva was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Solva is survived by 4 children, Wilma Judd, Philip Smith, Gale (Bryan) Clark and Carl (Pam) Smith; brother, Paul Mollett; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Solva is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Carl Smith; second husband, Lester Page; son, Freddy Smith; 6 siblings, Noah Mollett, Earl Mollett, Nevelly Mollett, Albert Mollett, Jr., Waneta Mollett and Ruth Zelda Mollett; and an infant sister who passed away at birth.

A funeral service celebrating Solva's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, August 14, 2023 at the funeral home.
