Shirley Ann Coleman

Indianapolis - Shirley Coleman, 83, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019. She was born January 28, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN. She was employed by RCA for about 4 years, but spent most of her life serving her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling and loved spending time with her grandkids. She was a longtime member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her husband, Gus H. Eldridge, Sr.; husband, Forest Coleman; and son, Jerome J. Eldridge. Left to mourn her passing are her children, Jean M. Pierson and Gus H. Eldridge, Jr. and his wife, Janice; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 1 niece; 2 nephews; and many other beloved family members and friends.

Mrs. Coleman's family will receive friends Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 9 – 11 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 11 am. Interment will be conducted at Floral Park Cemetery, 425 North Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222. A repast will follow at the funeral home from 1 – 2 pm.
