Sheridan Duke Tom, Jr. age 32 of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly due to violence on Monday, April 18, 2022 in Indianapolis. He was born in Indianapolis on April 10, 1990 the son of Sheridan D. Tom, Sr. and Kristi Ware. Sheridan attended Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. Sheridan was incredibly talented and passionate about music. He played bass guitar for various metal bands in Indy. Sheridan enjoyed going to concerts and listening to his favorite bands and artists, "Motionless in White", "Marilyn Manson", and "Avatar".
While being in the Progress House he became a sponsor and even created a workshop to help better others. He participated and volunteered in the Back on my Feet organization in Indianapolis. Sheridan had a giving heart and loved to help other people. He was wise with his words, retained a positive attitude daily, and had one of the sweetest souls. Sheridan was unique in his own ways and that's why so many people loved him. Sheridan will be remembered as a loving individual who was taken from this world far too soon.
Sheridan's family includes his mother, Kristi Ware; father, Sheridan D. Tom, Sr.; 2 sisters, Raven Krzyzanowski and Kaylee Barton; grandmother, Myrtle Ware; grandfather, Duke Tom; several aunts and uncles; and numerous extended family members and friends.
A funeral service celebrating Sheridan's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Round Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, April 25, 2022 and from 12:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service on Tuesday both will be at Newcomer Funeral Home in Indianapolis.
On the day of the service the funeral will be livestreamed for anybody who is unable to attend.
