Shelly M. Batts

Shelly Marie Batts, age 47 of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. She was born June 5, 1975 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina the daughter of Darrell J. and Debra Rae (Shelton) Donoho. Shelly attended Frankfort High School in Frankfort, Indiana. She most recently worked as a receptionist for Lute Supply Company. Shelly enjoyed cooking, shopping, taking care of others and singing out loud for everyone to hear, even though it may have been a little bit off key. She had an eye for interior decorating and was even known to rearrange her loved ones living rooms when they left the room. Shelly loved taking care of animals, especially her dogs. More than anything, Shelly loved to spend time with her family.

Shelly is survived by her father, Darrell J. Donoho; step-mother, Susan (David Adams) Miller; 2 step-daughters, Hollie Batts and Courtney Batts; 3 siblings, Cherie (Billy) Campbell, Shawn Donoho and Rob (Tammy) Horton; 4 grandchildren, Jace Batts, Emma Batts, Jeremiah Batts and Rylan Batts; and several nieces and nephews.

Shelly is preceded in death by her mother, Debra Rae Donoho; and her significant other, Roy Tilden Batts, Jr.

A memorial service celebrating Shelly's life will take place at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227 with Rob Horton officiating. A visitation for family and friends will take place prior to the memorial service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the funeral home.
