Sharon S. Hawkins

Indianapolis – Sharon S. Hawkins, 76, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020. She was born February 26, 1944 in Beech Grove, IN to the late David and Geneva Hatfield Smith. Mrs. Hawkins served her family as a homemaker. While she had many interests, particularly bowling and bingo, what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Skip and Bobby Neil. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Robert Hawkins; children: Patricia, Robin and Bobby; sisters: Roberta, Meltina, Darlene and Ruthann; brothers: Melvin, Eric and Steve; grandchildren: Jason, Joey, Josh, Amanda, Nathan and Amber; great-grandchildren: Mercedes, Luke, Michael, Gavin, Vincent, Astrid and Logan; and many other loving family members and devoted friends.

Mrs. Hawkins' family will receive friends Friday, October 30, 2020, from 11 am – 12:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Beech Grove, 5521 Churchman Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46203. A celebration of her life will follow at 12:30 pm with Pastor Tom Strong officiating. A committal service will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
