Sharon Rae Hamilton

Sharon Rae Hamilton, age 70 of Greenwood, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Greenwood Meadows following an extended illness. She was born April 5, 1952 in Ohio the daughter of Everett and Eldean (Johnston) McCrady. Sharon attended Monrovia High School. She worked for many years as a waitress, bartender and cook. She married James "Jay" Hamilton in Mooresville on April 26, 1980 and they shared over 42 years of marriage together until he passed away in 2022. Sharon enjoyed playing word search books, reading and watching black and white movies. More than anything, she will be remembered as a loving wife and mother.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Holly McCrady; sister, Debra Icenogle; brother, Cecil McCrady; and several extended family members and friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James "Jay" Hamilton.
