Sharon Leigh Curler, age 72 of Indianapolis, passed away following an extended illness on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at her home. She was born September 1, 1950 in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of Leo and Mary (Nowaczynski) Pritzlaff. Sharon was a 1968 graduate of Cudahy High School. She married the love of her life, Grant Curler on August 1, 1970. Sharon enjoyed reading her Bible, doing crossword puzzles and doing some local traveling. Along the side of her husband, they both liked to visit each county seat in Indiana, while they took pictures of all of the courthouses. They truly enjoyed the old architecture of those buildings.
Sharon loved to speak of her travels while in Europe, but most of all she loved Jesus. Sharon and Grant were Anglophiles, (a person who is fond of or greatly admires England or Britain.) loving anything British, especially watching British comedies. Her favorite show to watch with her husband together was, "Last of the Summer Wine". More than anything, Sharon loved to spend time with her family.
Sharon is survived by her husband of nearly 53 years, Grant Curler; son, Mike (Alice) Curler; daughter, Lisa (Jake) Burger; siblings, Daniel (Linda) Pritzlaff and David (Colleen) Pritzlaff; 5 grandchildren, Breanna, Britiney, Caity, Hailey and Isabel; 3 great grandchildren, Olivia, Mason and Theodore; and several nieces and nephews.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters, Nancy Ipock and Carol Mooney.
A graveside service honoring Sharon's life will take place on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 1:00 PM at West Ridge Park Cemetery, 9295 W 21st St, Indianapolis, IN 46234. Newcomer Funeral Home in Indianapolis is honored to handle Sharon's arrangements.
Throughout Sharon's life she supported and cared about St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, so in lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to be donated to them in her honor.
