Sara Nicole Frigge, age 36 of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family following a hard fought battle with breast cancer. She was born December 29, 1986 in Kokomo, Indiana the daughter of Earl M. "Marty" and Phyllis (Tinch) Zearbaugh. Sara was a 2005 graduate of Avon High School, and furthered her education by obtaining a bachelor's degree in nursing from Purdue University. While at Purdue, she was at the top of her class in the Sigma Theta Tau honor society . After achieving her bachelor's degree, she went on to get her master's degree in nursing from Indiana University. Sara developed her love of nursing while interning at Step by Step Pediatrics. Her career in nursing included a variety of roles including the PICU and Labor and Delivery at Methodist Hospital, Pediatric Emergency at IU West, and Labor and Delivery at Mercy Hospital in DeMoines Iowa. Sara loved working most recently as a Pediatric Nurse Practioner at Kidd Pediatrics for the past 4 years. She had a heart of gold and loved caring for all of the children.
Sara always saw the good in everyone and everything. She had a great sense of humor and always kept a positive attitude. Sara married Nathan K. Frigge on September 10, 2022 in Brownsburg. She was a true dedicated friend and always had one of the largest, brightest smiles. Sara enjoyed taking vacations to see the ocean. She loved nothing more in life than being a mom to her children. Sara will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister.
Sara is survived by her husband, Nathan K. Frigge; parents, Earl M. "Marty" and Phyllis Zearbaugh; 4 children, Gabriella J. "Ella" Hanlon, Keely M. "Keely Mo" Hanlon, Camilla R. "Millie" Hanlon and Andrew M. "Drewby" Frigge; sister, Amanda J. (husband Brian) Laurie; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Zearbaugh; niece, Evelyn Laurie; nephew, Jack Laurie; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Sara is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bill and Martha Tinch; and paternal grandfather, Clayton Zearbaugh.
A memorial service celebrating Sara's life will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227 with Rev. Michael Davis officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm prior to the service on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers it was Sara's wishes that everyone perform an act of kindness and pay it forward, by example, returning a lost item or even simply returning the cart to the cart corral. This is something that can be continued for years to come to honor Sara's kindness that she shared with everyone she came into contact with.
