Rosemary Neuhausel, age 72 of Indianapolis passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Altenheim Health and Living in Indianapolis. She was born August 28, 1950 in Indianapolis the daughter of Kenneth and Iva Irene (Dixon) McConnaha. Rosemary attended Arsenal Tech High School. She married Marvin G. Neuhausel on December 5, 1970 in Beech Grove, Indiana and shared over 35 years of marriage together until his passing on September 23, 2005. Rosemary was an amazing stay at home mother who not only raised her children, but also helped raise several of her grandchildren. She was known for being an amazing cook and everyone would rave about her chicken and dumplings and meatloaf. She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music. Rosemary loved crafts including, ceramics, porcelain, macramé and crocheting. She was a member of her families crocheting club, "The Hookers", and a proud member of the Mayflower Society. Rosemary enjoyed researching genealogy with her sisters throughout the years. More than anything, Rosemary will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Rosemary is survived by her son, Matthew (Jami Beckham) Neuhausel; daughter, Nicole Neuhausel; sister, Barbara Carver; 4 grandchildren, Bryant (Amanda) Neuhausel, Bruce Jones, Gage (Bailey) Neuhausel and Madison Neuhausel; 11 great-grandchildren, Aleigha, Maisley, Jocie, Bryson, Arria, Elyza, Joshua, Gabriel, Julian, Nevaeh and Steven; and several nieces and nephews.
Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 sisters, Janet McConnaha and Dorothy Hofer, 3 granddaughters, Shelbie Neuhausel, Catelin Neuhausel and Ashley Heise; and great-grandson, Nicholas.
Rosemary's wishes were to be cremated and have a celebration of life at a later date. Newcomer Cremation, Funerals and Receptions in Indianapolis is honored to handle Rosemary's arrangements.
