Indianapolis – Rose Mary Raney, 67, passed away at 10:17 a.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at her residence in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born to the late John C. and Mary E. (Lankford) Raney on August 2, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Rose was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed working puzzles, going to the race track, and spending time with family and friends.
Rose is survived by her loving children, Rebecca Downey and her boyfriend Josh Bowman, Kenny Raney and his girlfriend Terra Woods, and John Raney; her loving grandchildren, Cassie Downey and Kyle Downey and his girlfriend Barbara Bruce; and her siblings, David Raney and his wife Crissy and Kathleen Plaskett. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John C. "Jack" Raney and son-in-law, Robert L. Downey. Rose will be deeply missed.
Rose's family will receive friends Saturday, January 2, 2021, from 10 - 12 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Mark Petty officiating. For the health and safety of all guests attending, face masks are required. Thank you. Interment will immediately follow in New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203.
