Ronald Dale Givan

Ronald Dale Givan, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. He was born to the late Gilbert and Arbutus (Sims) Givan on December 19, 1942 in Beech Grove, Indiana. Ronald was united in marriage to Shelby Hubbard in Rockville, Maryland. This union was blessed with three children, Yvette, Ronald Jr., and D.J.

He graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School, class of 1960. Ronald was inducted into the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He worked for Eli Lilly as a machinist for 25 years.

Ronald's hobbies were boating, water skiing, pickle ball and staying active. He was a craftsman of many things. He loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Shelby Givan and his son, Ronald Givan Jr. He is survived by his loving daughters, Yvette (Chris) Rodgers and D.J. Weidner; his grandchildren, Jordan (Taylar) Weidner, Paulina (Darek) Petro and Alex Rodgers; and his great grandchildren, Judah, Amos and Shepherd Petro.

Ronald's friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250 with Navy military honors.
