Indianapolis - Robert DeWayne Hamm, 56, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018.
Robert was born June 18, 1962 at Ft. Harrison Army Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He spent several years in Indiana, but also lived in Maryland and then Missouri, where he graduated from high school. Robert always loved to draw. He also spent hours putting together model semi-trucks, cars and airplanes.
His passion was driving a semi-truck over the road. He enjoyed his work and, as a result, he traveled through many states across the US and into Canada. Additionally, he volunteered with the Truckers for Christ organization and was also an active member in an online support group for heart disease patients such as himself.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorris Hamm and his brother, Billy Don Hamm. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Valoria Hamm; daughter, Amber L. Hamm of Jackson, MI; sisters, Mary L. Humphrey and her husband, Bob of Waco, TX and Georgia L. Carney of Noblesville, IN; brother, John L. Hamm of Sedalia, MO; 3 Nieces; 2 Nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
A celebration of Robert's life will be conducted Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 3 - 6 pm at Cumberland Road Church, 12625 Cumberland Road, Fishers, IN 46038.
