Indianapolis - Robert Joseph Gray, 73, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019. He was born December 13, 1945 in Evansville, IN to the late Harry and Mildred Cokeland Gray. He served his community as a painter.
Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry, Fred and Paul Grey and sisters, Beulah, Coramae and Vera Grey. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Ann Fay Gray; sons: Robert "Joey" Gray, Jr. and Marty Gray; daughter, Samantha Wheeler and her husband, Tony; step-sons: Johnny and Michael Montgomery; sisters: Doris Grey, Sue Wilson and Naomi McClure; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Gray's family will receive friends Monday, October 14, 2019, from 10 am – 12 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will be conducted at 12 pm at the funeral home chapel. A committal service will follow at Acton Cemetery.
