Robert H. Fisher

Robert H. Fisher, affectionately known as Bob, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on June 25, 1947, in Indianapolis, Bob was a dedicated member of his community and a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Bob pursued his education at Tech High School in Indianapolis, where he laid the foundations for a remarkable life ahead. His commitment to service led him to a distinguished career with the Indianapolis Police Department, where he served as a Sergeant for 20 years before retiring in 1987. His dedication to public safety and his community has left an indelible mark on those who knew him.

On September 5, 1986, Bob exchanged vows with Paula Gaalema, forming a partnership that would stand the test of time. Together, they built a loving family and shared many happy memories. In addition to his family, Bob was a passionate racing fan and an esteemed member of the American Legion, reflecting his love for both excitement and patriotism. 

 Bob leaves behind his beloved wife, Paula Gaalema-Fisher; his children, Sally Schimmel, Toni (Mike) Morris, and Heather (Mike) Eaton; his grandchildren, David Schimmel, Brian Schimmel, Brooklyn Bowling, Claire Morris, Emma Morris, AJ Morris, Ashli Eaton, and Riley Eaton; his great-grandchildren, Clyde Schimmel, Teddy Schimmel, Natalynn Schimmel, and Annabelle Schimmel; and his sibling, Pat Riegar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert H. Fisher Sr. and R. Lucille Fisher.

Bob's life will be honored during a visitation on February 25, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227.
