Robert Burns

Indianapolis – Robert Lee Burns, 79, known to many as Deacon Bob, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 9, 2016. Mr. Burns was born February 13, 1937 in Louisville, KY. He served his community as a Deacon at Our Lady Help of Christians and as Chaplin at Central State Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Mr. Burns is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Burns; sons, Bob Burns, Jr. and his wife, Sally, Craig Burns and his wife, Stephenie, and David Burns and his wife, Kim; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Mr. Burns' family will receive friends Monday, December 12, 2016, from 1-6 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home at 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243. A celebration of his life will follow at 6 pm at the funeral home.
