Robert August Beeson - age 63 passed away 9-13-22.
He is survived by Connie (Light) Beeson and his son, Joseph.
Bob was the son of Robert Shannon Beeson and his beloved wife Josephine Alma (Stinette); and the brother of "Jodi" (Wampler), Paula, Annette (Suiters), and the youngest, Margo (Scott).
He went to Southport High School and was employed at Bob's Tu Your Door pizza in his younger days, working with his best friend in the world, Albert Barger, and he also drove for Tom Janitz, and worked at Rocky's gas station and garage. All are appreciated and became great friends.
He worked for Laura Kopetsky Tri-Ax in Indianapolis, as a driver and dispatcher. She was a life-long friend who cared very much for Bob.
Bob loved his poodles, mountain views, motorcycles, dump trucks, Hazard Kentucky, Cade's Cove, and country music.
His great grandfather was from one of the first pioneer families south of the city, and he owned the Stumpf Brothers meat packing company on Meridian street. His Victorian house, built with no nails, still stands.
On his mother's side, his great-grandfather Sansoni had a meat market at City Market downtown. Bob loved his Grandma Stinette's Italian cooking and on his dad's side, his grandmother Clemens named her bar and eatery The Elbow Room. Bob liked exploring downtown as a boy.
Bob enjoyed giving truck drivers nick-names and most still carry those names today.
"Drivers", bless you on the road; keep on and carry on.
Bob's wishes were to be cremated and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions is honored to handle Bob's arrangements.
