Richard Jeffrey Tucher

Richard Jeffrey Tucher, a proud father, and grandfather, and respected roofer, passed away on February 25, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on February 7, 1961, in Beech Grove, Indiana, Richard lived a full life, characterized by his shy yet outgoing personality that drew many to him. He was known for being fun-loving and full of life, which endeared him to family and friends alike.

Richard dedicated a significant part of his career to roofing, showcasing his hard work and commitment to his trade. However, his most proud accomplishment in life was undoubtedly his family. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Jill (Aaron) Kruse, and his cherished grandchildren, Paige, Ryeland, and Palmer. Richard also leaves behind his siblings: Vincent (Angela), Kathleen Sebastian, Kevin, Linda (Alan) Brown, and Brenda (John) Parks, who will remember him fondly.

Preceding Richard in death were his son, Richard Jeffery Tucher, as well as his parents, Anthony and Catherine (Choat) Tucher. He was further preceded by his beloved siblings who have since passed, Joe Tucher, Donna Melloh, John Tucher, Mary Potts, and Patricia Ann Tucher.

Richard enjoyed various hobbies, finding pleasure in games, watching Jeopardy, and working on crossword puzzles. Those who knew him will remember him as a person who brought light into their lives with his warmth and joy.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227, on March 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at the same location from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. After the service, Richard will be laid to rest at Round Hill Cemetery, located at 5235 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46227, starting at 2:15 PM.

Richard Jeffrey Tucher will be remembered with love and admiration by his family and friends. His spirit and legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
