MISSOURI - Richard Paul "Dick" Guignard, age 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late William and Naomi (McCloskey) Guignard. Dick was born on December 4, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was a 1951 graduate of Bellflower High School and then continued his education at Washington University where he received a Bachelor's of Science in Business in 1957. Dick was self-employed and ran his own printing business for many years.
Dick was united in marriage on November 23, 1957 to Shirley DeHart at Cathedral Basillica in St. Louis, Missouri. This happy union was blessed with three sons: Robert, Richard and Randel.
Dick enjoyed playing games, particularly cards or dominos. He loved baseball and pizza. Dick and Shirley bonded over ballroom dancing. In his leisure time he often watched sports of any kind. He was a member of the Toast Masters and a 1st Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Dick is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Guignard; 3 sons: Robert "Rob", Richard "Rich" and Randel "Randy" Guignard; 4 brothers: Charles, Jack, Jim and Bruce Guignard; 2 sisters, Ruth Jenkins and Nancy Xenobia Vanna; and 4 grandchildren, Shelby Guignard, Justin Guignard, Douglas Spegal and Elisha Garner.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 - 9:00 PM Monday, November 14, 2022 at Thompson House, 711 East Thompson St. Indianapolis, IN 46227. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions is honored to handle Dick's funeral arrangements.
