Richard Smith Clark

Indianapolis - Richard Smith Clark, 85, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, February 15, 2022. His brother, Marvin Clark, was by his side. Richard was born September 26, 1936, in Earlington, Kentucky to the late Richard and Eva Lee Clark. He was a graduate of Rosenwald High School in Madisonville, Kentucky. Richard served in the United States Marine Corps. After his service, he moved to Indianapolis where he married Frances Dee Clark on May 04, 1959. He spent his entire career as an over the road truck driver. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frances Dee Clark; son, Alan Mason; granddaughter, Watasha Radford Clark; parents, Richard and Eva Lee Clark; sisters, Faye Clark and Doris Logan; and brother, Curtis Banvard Clark, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Sandra Dee Radford and her husband, Ronald; brother, Marvin Clark and his wife, Mildred; grandchildren: Ronald Radford, Jr. and his wife, Michelle, Jarron Radford and his wife, Shawnika and Kory Mason and his wife, Cashara; great grandchildren: Chris Gordon, Jr., Ronald Radford III, George Radford, Jarron Simmons, Ja'Shawn Radford, Carlos Mason, Calajia Mason, Kaiza Mason and Keyairreon Mason.

Richard's family will receive friends Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 11 am – 1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of his life will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Percival Woods officiating and a solo by Sister Frances Johnson.
