RICHARD E. BROWNLEE
70, of Indianapolis, passed away May 15, 2017. He was born August 2, 1946 to James and Jean (Tangeman-Brownlee) Johnston. He served in the Marine Corps in Viet Nam and was a manager and senior compliance officer for the City of Indianapolis, receiving the city's Outstanding Service Award.
Richard enjoyed retirement, devoting his time to family and his golf obsession. He loved to plan elaborate family adventures and game marathons and he was always ready for a road trip.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Brandon. He is survived by Lana, his beloved wife of 48 years, his sons Gary and Brian Brownlee, grandchildren Alicia Boyle, Anthony and Connor Brownlee, Morgan and Adrienne Middleton, great grandchildren Jayden Brownlee, Lincoln Boyle and Aiden Middleton, his brothers and sisters Stephen and Diana Brownlee, Mary Davis and David Johnston.
A Celebration of Richard's Life, including lunch, will take place Saturday, May 20, at l:00 pm at One Body Ministries, 3132 Carson Ave., Indianapolis. All whose lives Richard touched are encouraged to attend.
