Richard L. Blythe, 90, of Indianapolis passed away at his home on June 23, 2020. Richard was born on February 14, 1930 in Indianapolis to Lyle David and Florence Blythe. He served in the United States Marine Corps in the Korean War until he returned home to oversee the family business, Blythe Rubber Stamp Company. After overseeing the family business, Richard began a new career at the Indianapolis Star as the coordinator of transportation. In his spare time, Richard loved bowling. He also loved to tell long, long, long stories.
Richard is survived by his wife, Mary R. (Lions) Blythe; children: Sheryl, Lisa, Ricky, Robin, Shirley, Philip, Charles, Peggy, James, Dawn and Susie. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; six children; and sisters: Jan and Lois.
