Rhonda Charlene Barnes

Indianapolis - Rhonda Charlene Barnes, 72, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN. She was born November 20, 1948 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late William Jones and Joyce Holbrook Turner. She was employed in the automobile industry where she served as a factory worker.

Rhonda attended Ypsilanti High School, class of 1962. In 1967, she married Henry Birton in Ypsilanti, MI. Rhonda enjoyed playing the lottery, dancing and listening to her favorite music. She had a great sense of humor and loved joking around. Rhonda loved spending time with her family, particularly her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Holbrook. Left to mourn and cherish her memory are her son, Brian Birton; daughter, Lisa Birton; brothers, Gary and Kevin Barnes; grandchildren: LaGregria, Tyeast and Greg Hardimon Jr., Brian Birton, Jr. and Shayna Cox; great grandchildren: Lamondre Marcellis Hardimon, Tyvion Anton Leake, Jeremiah Boyd, Isaiah Hardimon, William Blackwell, Tyla Hardimon, Genell Patton, Dylan, David, Eliana and Joseph Cox and Brian III, Noah and Elias Birton; great - great grandchildren, Sarayah, Serenity and Samari Small; aunties, Fredda Addie and Darling Wright; and many other beloved family members and dear friends.

Rhonda's family will receive friends Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
