"Red" James Adler

"Red" James H. Adler, 76, of Fairland, passed away on March 2, 2016. He was born on October 15, 1939 in Browder, Kentucky to Rollo and Mary Edith (Whittinghill) Adler.

Red was a member of McGregor Road Baptist Church; UAW Local 23. On June 16, 1990 he married Helen Adler, Helen and Red lived in Fairland, Indiana.

Red is survived by his loving wife: Helen, children: Pam Adler, Theresa Adler, Lisa Thomas, Daniel Adler, Arliss Mills, Jr., Michael Mills; siblings: Barbara Everly, Nancy Clark, Judy Croxton, David Adler; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 infant brothers.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016, from 9:00 am. until the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 925 East Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227 with Pastor Chris Kaiser officiating. Interment will follow at Acton Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to go to McGregor Road Baptist Church for the Building Fund. Visit www.NewcomerIndianapolis.com to sign the guest book.
