Phyllis L. Boyd

Phyllis Lou Boyd, age 88, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 29, 2024 at Community Hospital South. Phyllis was born on May 1, 1936 in Indianapolis she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Llewyellyn (Houston) Nuetzman. Phyllis was a member of the 1954 graduating class of Speedway High School.

During her Phyllis' working career she demonstrated a tireless work ethic providing for her children in many capacities. She began working at Indiana Bell. She then took a position with the Kroger Company working as milk-desk controller for over 22 years.

Phyllis had been married twice in her life that created three lovely children. She was an active member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of Central Indiana.

Phyllis is survived by her loving daughter, Holly Anne Boyd; son, Scott D. Boyd both of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Ashly C. Boyd; and grandson, Nicholas S. Boyd, both of Indianapolis; and sister, Pamela Joy Sayers.

Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana. A Funeral service for Phyllis will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Garry Brackett officiating. Cremation will take place at a later date.
