Patricia A. O'Brien., 94, Greenwood, passed away on January 6, 2021 in Indianapolis, IN. She was born in Indianapolis, IN, on May 28, 1926, the only child, of Joseph F. and Thelma V. (Harrison) Duffey.
She married James J. O'Brien, Jr. on June 26, 1948 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Indianapolis. James preceded her in death after more than 62 years of marriage.
She was a 1940 graduate of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Grade School, a 1944 graduate of Manual High School in Indianapolis and was a proud member of the Manual '44 Club
With her husband she was a charter member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Indianapolis from 1959-1966 and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church for four decades,
She co-owned and operated O'Brien Floorcovering and Remnant Station from 1983 to 2010.
A devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, her survivors include three sons, Timothy J. (Nancy), Daniel F. and David M. O'Brien; grandson Joseph C. (Jessica) O'Brien; granddaughter Laura K. (Jeffery) Lanie; great grand daughters Alice M. and Erin C. Lanie.
Private services will be held for the family. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
