Patricia Singer Storm Barker

Indianapolis - Patricia Lou Singer Storm Barker, 91, graduated to her heavenly home Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Rosegate Village of Indianapolis. Her loving family was faithfully by her side. She was born July 10, 1928 in Indianapolis to the late Ervin and Zelma Shockley Singer. Patricia worked for several companies in the Indianapolis area including University Heights Hospital and Blue Cross-Blue Shield before retiring to Florida in 1987. She recently moved back to her hometown of Indianapolis after living in Jamaica Bay in Fort Myers, FL for the past 32 years.

Patricia's father, Ervin Gilbert Singer, was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and served as a wonderful testimony of the grace of God to her and her children. Pat loved to attend church and participated in many of its activities. She served in the choir worship ministry, children's ministry and the benevolence ministry that provided comfort for those in need. She had a beautiful soprano voice and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Patricia knew that Jesus was her Lord and Savior and that the time had come for her to depart. She knew that her true citizenship was in Heaven.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin Gilbert and Zelma Blythe Shockley Singer; first husband (and father of her seven children), Robert Mason Storm; brother, William Singer; and sisters, Barbara Joann Singer and Donna Singer Higgins. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Dwight Barker; children: Linda Storm Polson, Dr. Richard Storm and his wife, Carol, Denise Storm Radlinski and her husband, Allen, Robert Storm and his wife, Kathleen, John Storm and his wife, Cheryl, Charles Storm and his wife, Tammy, and James Scott Storm and his wife, Mary; Kenneth's children, Daniel Barker and his wife, Phyllis and Cynthia Barker; siblings: Christy Singer Johnson, Mary Ann Singer Barger, Dale Singer and Rita Singer Johnson and her husband, Dave; sister-in-law, Elaine Singer; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many other beloved family members and dear friends.

Pat's family will receive friends Friday, March 20, 2020, from 11 am – 12 pm at Grace Evangelical Church, 5905 East Southport Road, Indianapolis, IN 46237 . A memorial celebration of her life will follow at 12:00 pm at the church. Interment will be conducted privately at Washington Park North Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made, in Pat's memory, to the Club 90 Ministry at First Christian Church, 2061 McGregor Boulevard., Fort Myers, FL, 33901.
