Oren David Oldaker Sr.

Oren D. Oldaker, Sr. Indianapolis – Oren D. Oldaker, Sr., 71, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 30, 2017.

Oren David Oldaker Sr. was born January 1, 1946 in Indianapolis, IN. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army who served in Korea and was a member of the American Legion. Oren was employed by Western Electric, AT&T and then Lucent Technologies where he served as a machine operator, and also Treasurer of his Local Union until he retired from the Company in 1996. He opened his own Tax Service in 1976 and ran that business until he fully retired in 2014.

He was a member of Warren Park Wesleyan Church for many years and was currently attending Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene where he was a member as well.

Oren is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years (Lora) Jane Oldaker; daughter, Robin Oldaker; sons, Oren Oldaker, Jr. and Jerry Grill; Angie Grill-Baer (Wife) Grand Children, Jonathan Oldaker, Garrett Moore, Amanda Moore, Luke Hodges, Noah Grill, Kyler Grill, Ainsley Baer, Addisyn Baer and Ryker Baer; Sister Florence Cookson, Thomas Cookson (Husband)Son Randy Cookson, Stephani Cookson (Wife),Nephew Sam Cookson, Alaina Cookson (Wife) and sons Zane, Kohen & Wyatt. Niece Rebecca Murdough, Jermey Murdough (Husband) Daughter Charli Murdough; Brother, Ronald Oldaker, sons, Mario Almendarez, Regehilo Perez, Anthony Almendarez, Anthony Guzman; and Cousin Wesley Oldaker.

Oren was preceded in death by his Father Will Oldaker; Mother Elsie Oldaker; Brother James Oldaker; and Daughter Melissa Oldaker.

The Oldaker family will receive friends Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of Mr. Oldaker's life will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Randy Perry, Raymond Austin, and David Cook officiating.

Interment will be conducted privately at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
