Norman "Joe" Jones, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 3, 2019. He was born on April 10, 1940 to Robert and Savanna Jones.
He was a car and truck lover, all with a General Motors logo. He loved his Corvettes and his little green truck. He retired after 33 years from General Motors in Indianapolis Stamping Plant and was a member of the UAW Local 23.
He is preceded in death by a son: Norman Eugene "Gene" Jones, and his parents.
Joe is survived by his wife: Carleene (Wynkoop) Jones; children and their spouses: Tony & Nancy Trips; Kelly & Trevor McDonald; grandchildren: Taylor Jones, Nicole Avedon, Nathan McDonald, Joey Trips, Connie Trips, Gabe Trips; sister: Joyce Jones; brother: Stanley Jones, nieces: Terri Mann, Robbin Carter; nephew: Greg Jones and a host of other family and friends.
A Graveside Ceremony will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 29 at Round Hill Cemetery. A gathering will follow at O'Reilly's Irish Bar.
