Norma Jean Loyd Pennington, 85, passed away peacefully while sleeping in the late evening of June 23rd, 2022. Norma Jean, born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky on June 5th, 1937, was preceded in death by her husband Lenneth Lee Pennington, parents Levi and Maudie Loyd, four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her daughter Sheryl Pennington Mayes (Jack), sons Jeff Pennington (Nikola) and Waymond Loyd (Vicky), five granddaughters, numerous great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Peachie. Walking every day strong in her faith, Norma welcomed all with open arms, and an open pantry. Making sure everyone was taken care of, her love of her family was unmatched. Whether you called her Mom, Mamaw, or Aunt Jean, she loved everyone with all she had. On any day you could almost guarantee she was awake early, searching stores for sales and wind chimes, and working hours in her cherished garden. While Norma will always be missed, she is smiling with her husband, family, pets, and best friends that have gone before her.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither them be afraid." John 14:27
