From a young age, Naomi's heart was devoted to helping those around her. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life, always investing her time and resources into causes that mattered deeply to her. Her hobbies reflected her generous nature; she lovingly crocheted blankets for local hospitals, ensuring that comfort would be available to those in need. Naomi's compassionate heart extended beyond her immediate community as she sponsored a foreign child, striving to make a positive impact on their life. Her dedication to promoting wellness and adventure in the lives of children was further illustrated by her support of Camp for Children.
Naomi's passion for helping others was matched by her deep-rooted appreciation for her native heritage, of which she was immensely proud. She not only celebrated her culture but also actively contributed to it by supporting initiatives such as the Fort Robinson Outbreak Spiritual Run, further demonstrating her commitment to community and tradition. Additionally, her service as a Bronze member of the Veterans Association stands as a testament to her respect for those who have served in the armed forces and her unwavering belief in supporting veterans.
Naomi is survived by her loving family, including her sister Judith Garcia, daughters Julie Smith, Nancy Smith, and Angela Pruitt, as well as her niece Carmela (Damian) Garcia and nephew Michael Garcia. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she has touched through her acts of kindness and dedication to bettering the lives of others.
She is preceded in death by her father Orville C. Smith, mother Joann N. Smith, and her husband Robert Riddell. While her presence will be deeply missed, Naomi's legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
