Myrna Rose Grose

Indianapolis - Myrna Rose Grose, 82, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019. She was born November 10, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN to the late John M. Allen and Anna L. Burris Munden. She was employed as an accounting assistant.

Mrs. Grose was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family unconditionally. She was a wonderful cook and an avid reader. Additionally, she loved watching sports with her husband, particularly the Colts and Pacers. She was a long-time member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church which was later renamed Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

Mrs. Grose was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 Years, Robert W. Grose, Sr.; sons, Ronald L. and David E. Grose; mother, Anna L. Burris Munden; father, John M. Allen; sister, Andrea L. Bannon; and brothers, John C. "Jack" Allen and Michael E. Allen. She is survived by her daughter, Darla K. Hofheins and her husband, William; sons, Robert W. Grose, Jr. and Daniel R. Grose and his wife, Gina; grandchildren: Cheryle Rush, Jeremy and Amanda Hofheins, Dottie, Cathy, Bobby and Shaun Herald, and Athena, Casey and Jillian Grose; 16 great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and dear friends.

Mrs. Grose's family will receive friends Friday, November 15, 2019, from 11 am – 12 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will be conducted at 12 pm at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Concordia Cemetery.
