Mitzi Kaye Gibson

Martinsville - Mitzi Kaye Gibson gained her beautiful set of wings on May 10, 2019 peacefully in her home, surrounded by loving family after putting up an astonishing fight with cancer.

Mitzi was born on October 11, 1962 to David and Dollie Stansberry. She had a zest for appreciating the small things in the world and saw beauty in everything around her. She was raised in church and had an outstanding love for God and trusted in Him wholeheartedly.

She was preceded in death by her father, David; mother, Dollie; and first husband, Leo Campbell. She is survived by her devoted husband, Donnie Gibson and his loving family and daughters and grandbabies including, but not limited to, longtime friend and sister-in-law, Jan; her bub, Gary Stansberry and his wife and Mitzi's best friend, Lisa Mae; and one sister, Kristie. She will be missed by her children, Felicia Long, Braden Campbell, and her daughter-in-law, Kayla. Mitzi also had two bonus children whom she loved like her own, Jennifer and Josh. She was Mamaw to Tyler, Skyla, Gabe, Olivya, Markell(Buddah), Fox and her baby, Leo and last but not least, an abundance of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends and family.

Mitzi's family will receive friends Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 1 – 3 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of her life will follow at 3 pm.
